Large website with big budgets often spend millions of dollars on advertising campaigns. They plaster their URL on billboards across the nation, buy full-page spreads in magazines and spend small fortunes on pay per click advertising.

How can a mini site run by your average Joe compete with that?

A better question might be, “Why should a mini site try to compete with that?” A mini site usually consists of one, or at most a few, pages. And it targets a very specific market niche. An ad in the New York Times would, in the overwhelming majority of cases, be overkill.

Promoting a mini site is doable on a mini budget. In fact, it is entirely possible to promote your mini site
without spending a dime. Getting traffic may take a little more time and effort than if you spent big bucks, but your profit margin will be much higher.

Here are some free methods for promoting your mini site:

Do your own SEO.

There is a small learning curve, but you can do it yourself. And once you get it right, your search engine
placement will keep the traffic coming.

Submit articles to free reprint sites, such as EzineArticles.com. Include a link to your site in the
resource box. The article must include the resource box whenever it is reprinted, so you’ll get links from
anyone who uses your content.

Join forums that appeal to members of your target market. Participate in discussions, and include a link to your site in your signature.

Comment on blogs. Most will include a link to your site with your comment. This will help boost your search engine rankings and could result in click-through traffic.

Contact bloggers that reach your target market and ask to write a guest post for them. This is a great way to establish yourself as an expert and create interest in your site.

Write a special report, making sure to include a link to your site. Then contact others who sell information products and ask them if they would like to give it away as a bonus with their product.

Write a press release. Submit it to press release websites, online publications and bloggers.

You don’t have to spend obscene amounts of money to get the word out about your mini site. With some creativity, you can start getting traffic without spending a dime on advertising.

I’m going to hit you with an awful truth that you probably don’t want to hear.

But it is for your own good.

If you have tried opportunity after opportunity and came up with nothing, it’s not the fault of the opportunity. It’s your marketing.

The truth is, money can be made from ANY business opportunity if you KNOW what you are doing. There were, after all, successful people in each of the businesses you attempted before – right? Then those people must have been doing something right, and you were simply doing something wrong.

As it was coined “knowledge is power”, and it’s true.

But – It’s not your fault either. You just didn’t know better, until now. Today you can change your future
instead of repeating your history over and over again.

Today you can make a change in your marketing and in only a few days be creating the income you always desired. Achieving the dreams you always wanted.

When you first start planning your sales funnel and creating your marketing strategy you may be confused by the terms Back-End Sales and Front-End Sales.

Understanding these concepts is key to a successful sales funnel and ultimately your online profits.

Front-End Sales.

Your Front-End Sale is the first product your prospect purchases.

In your sales funnel, this could be at any price point. Your front-end sale could be your lowest priced item, say a book or an introductory report for example.

It could also be one of your higher priced items. While most customers may enter your funnel at the very beginning, that’s not always the case.  Therefore, it pays to have back end offers designed for each and every price point in your funnel.

Back-end sales.

Back-end sales are where the money is truly made.

Your back-end products and offers are designed to enhance the product your customer just purchased or is getting ready to purchase.

For example, if your customer just purchased a book then your back-end offer might be a corresponding workbook or online course or video course to compliment the book.

The key to having a successful back-end sales strategy is to make sure each offer compliments or enhances the value of the product they just purchased.

If, for example, your customer purchased a book and your back-end offer is an unrelated software product then your customer is going to be left scratching their head. Their confidence in you and their trust in you is going to falter.  Not a good thing.

However, if your offer compliments what they just purchased or are getting ready to purchase and offers
them more value, their trust and confidence in you is going to increase.

See how this works?

The key to a successful sales funnel is to create complimentary back-end products and offers.

Understand that customers may enter your funnel at different points and be ready to up the ante, offer them more value, and increase your profts.

Hey Guys,

How are things going?

Here’s 10 great tips and ideas for improving your sales and your relationship with your subscribers and customers.

Are you ready?

yes…

Okay let’s get going… :~)

1 – Keep people at your web site for as long as possible. Allow them to download free e-books, sign up for contests, use free online services, etc. This will help increase your sales. You could use pop-up pages, pop-under pages and exit pages too. But be warned, this can annoy some visitors. Don’t over do it.

2 – Remember not to use outrageous or unbelievable claims in your ad copy. People are too savvy online and won’t believe you. For example, don’t say, “You can make 1 million dollars in 2 days!” Another example, “You can fold paper at home and make up to $2000 a day!”

3 – Solve your customers’ complaints by being quick and friendly. The faster you respond, the more your customers feel you care about them. You could set up a handy FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) list. You could also add more ways they contact you faster, like by e-mail, phone, web message system, fax, instant message, cell phone, etc.

4 – Never think your customers are satisfied with their purchase. You should be constantly finding new ways to over-deliver and improve your product and service. You could give them free surprise gifts, survey your customers, take all their opinions and questions seriously, set up focus groups to improve your product, etc.

5 – Market yourself, as well as your product. You could write articles, e-books, do free consulting, do speaking engagements, etc. You could tell your prospects a little bit about your personal history too. You could tell them when you were born, where you grew up, tell them about your parents and other family members, etc.

6 – Use the word “limited” in your ad. People want to own or receive things that are exclusive or rare because they are considered to be more valuable. For example, you could say, “This special edition will be limited to the first 500 who order!” Another example would be, “Order before (date) to get this limited version of our e-book!”

7 – Use the word “easy/simple” in your ad. People want easy ordering, easy instructions, easy to use, easy
payments, etc. For example, you could say, “It’s the easiest way to lose weight!” Another example would be, “It’s easy to order – just click here and fill out your information!”

8 – End your sales letter or ad copy with a strong closing. It could be a free bonus, a discount price, a benefit reminder, an ordering deadline, etc. For example, you could say, “P.S. Remember, you’ll get 5 bonuses valued at $245!” Another example would be, “P.S. Like mentioned earlier, if you order today you’ll get 45% off!”

9 – Please your complaining customers. You can refund their money, give them a discount, give them a free gift, solve the problem quickly, etc. For example, you could say, “I understand how you must feel, so I’m giving you a complete refund.” Another example would be, “I’ve been in your shoes before. I’m going to give you a 50% discount on your next purchase.”

10 – Build your opt-in list by allowing your visitors to sign up for a free e-zine, e-books, software, contests, sweepstakes, etc. For example, you could say, “Subscribe to our free e-zine and get entry into our weekly contest!” Another example would be, “Sign up to our free newsletter and get 10 surprise bonuses!”
